If you bank with CBA you may notice duplicate expense transactions from Friday (that have since been refunded).
These transactions need to be carefully processed in your accounting system so they cancel each other out – you don’t want your expenses overstated and you don’t want to classify the correction as income, cos it isn’t.
We’ll sort it out for our clients to ensure accuracy.
CBA say they have since rectified this.
“We have resolved an earlier issue where some customers experienced duplicate transactions in their accounts. The process to reverse these transactions has been completed,” a spokesperson said.
